The Walking Horse Association of Michigan's Spring Fling Gaited Horse and Mule Fun Show in Davisburg, Michigan - May, 2003

The Great Lakes Icelandic Horse Association started the summer season out right with an excellent showing at the Walking Horse of Michigan’s Spring Fling Gaited Horse Fun Show.  We had 8 Icelandic horse and rider combinations for the event, which turned out to be the biggest classes of the day!  Everyone enjoyed the laid-back atmosphere, which is not usually associated with showing many breeds of horses, and especially enjoyed the good-natured camaraderie all Icelandic Horse riders and attendees displayed that day.   Everyone did very well that day, including beating out some of the “big horses” in the open events.
