The Great Lakes Icelandic Horse Association

Providing opportunities for local Icelandic owners and enthusiasts to get together, socialize, share information and enjoy the Icelandic Horse.

The Great Lakes Icelandic Horse Association (GLIHA)  is a Regional Chapter of the United States Icelandic Horse Association (USIHC).  The club formed in 1999 as a group of friends who enjoyed getting together to trail ride, and participate in fun shows with their Icelandic Horses.  Finding information on the unique and fun breed of horse can be difficult, as it is still considered a rare breed in the United States.  The club was formed so that owners and enthusiasts can get together to share information and fun.
